Spread the Word’s mission is to distribute God’s Word with intention and with focus to be a light for all to see. Started in 2000 by the late Peter Sumrall, President of Family Broadcasting Corporation, Spread the Word had the goal of giving a Bible to any individual who requested one. Peter’s vision was to distribute a million Bibles. Following his passing, Peter’s children Drew Sumrall and Angela Grabowski have carried on that vision and through the generosity of donors the world over, the million Bible mark has been met and even surpassed. All of the Bibles are not simply mailed without a direct request or recipient waiting for them. They supplement programs and missions handled and run by pastors and missionaries in direct contact with those desperately needing God’s promises so that the impact of each one is tenfold.
